With the help of talented and creative like-minded people we created a showcase dining event to celebrate collaboration, nurture new creative talent and forge new working relationships. We were briefed to raise the profile of the The Haining and test the market for dining events in that location. We marketed the event with a story: weaving a tale about a mysterious stranger who was opening his country manor to a select few diners. His desire was to share the experience of his house as he had once done through an extravagant and unusual meal. Thirty-six diners were picked up from a central Edinburgh location and taken to the house. Served champagne on arrival followed by a 4 course meal by Gardener's Cottage chefs Ed Murray and Dale Mailley. For this event a brand logo and website were created based on the story of the real Dandie's animal menagerie housed at the venue "The Haining" in Selkirk. The meal was presented with ornately designed menus and bespoke water bottles.
